The closest international airport is the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi, is about 11 km far from Gauhati University and connected by a fast high way. After reaching the LGB airport you can either rent a car or go to the bus station for the direct services to Gauhati University.
From Gauhati Railway station to Gauhati University the approximate distance is 9.1 km. It takes around 30 minutes to cover the distance. According to traffic variance the fare is also different.
